Hmm...very interesting. They are just people like us, and with the kind of lifestyles they have, it is bound to catch up with them. All the collagen, and botox, the silicon, extreme dieting or puking, and other procedures cannot be good for anyone. All I can say is it must be really hard to be them- everyone looks bad sometime, and there is someone there with a camera every time someone famous is doing anything.

How did the movie stars from the 20s and 30s do their makeup?
You know how they all had the similar ';look'; to them? I have no idea what it was that made their eye makeup look that way, but I think it looks pretty.

They had redness, blotches, dark circles under their eyes, scars and so on. Let me just say makeup and cameras can make a world of tremendous difference. They surely didn't look like the beautiful stars we usually see on television.

Shes always edgy about things, she never wants to hear me out. Once she says no about something she doesn't want to hear my view of it. shes hurting me really bad but I cant get her to see it. She manipulates it so I end up looking bad, then I end up saying sorry. Icant take this anymore, I prayed about but how can I make her see what shes doing to me. My mom was like that too. I am 27 now and all I can say is you just have to ride it out. My mom was always against me and she would never accept my opinions on anything and if I disagreed with her even if it was my favorite color vs hers she would get all bent out of shape. My mom was so childish sometimes and she would argue with me and always say I was the one with the bad attitude. but I realized years later she was the one with the issues. You just have to be patient and ride it out. Try talking to a close family member- my grandma (moms mother) was my greatest alli- she helped me get thru and deal with my mother!
It's hard to be a teenager (I assume you are) and deal with all the changes you are dealing with, and all the challenges in school, and deal with parents on top of it. I hope she has your best interest at heart. Maybe she is worried about you making really bad choices. It's a tough world now. I am guessing she is trying to keep you safe in it.
My advice would be to continue to be obedient. And when you are older, 18, you can live your life how you want to. Family is the most important. You'll realize this the older you get.

I think that its fine to have no make up if you dont feel like it. The only reason why they always do is because they are pressured in Hollywood....they shouldnt be forced to wear any because of what might be said about them!
I think they all have great even skin, for the most part. They only wear makeup because if you notice from their eyes, they look tired without them when in actually they probably are opening their eyes the same way as they do WITH makeup.
I think they are still beautiful (other than Eva, but I don't think she's pretty WITH makeup either... just my opinion.)

Are these real? Some of the ';with makeup'; pics look altered (slightly different face shapes, wrinkles and bags completely gone) For the Katie Holmes pics.. the without makeup looks like it has been messed with, don't you think,? How do they make the eye liner in movies look so natural? I assume a brown or neutral shade is used, but is it applied to the water line, or the lash line on top, or with liquid, or how?
Also, what mascaras are used? A brown one, to make it seem like you have no mascara on? Or some special brand that doesn't clump? would it help to use a lash separater?

on that lipstick, try using clinique's colour surge butter stick. you can get the shade first love or pink-a-boo. those look near it. honestly, she's way way way too pink though. if you're going to try for this look, maybe use more of a brown or nude for your blush, and don't go too crazy with the light shadow. just a little in the corners of your eyes.
it almost looks like she's used the same colour for her blush and eyeshadow. if you do that, it's fine, just make sure to dust your cheeks with a little more powder than your eyes after you're done.

i dont think that is correct.. when i was in highschool it seemed most girls wore alot of makeup (cover up/foundation) because they didnt actually know how to apply it right, i had a friend who literally caked it on... also eye liner.. same thing, wore it too thick because we didnt know any better.

i dont think that is correct.. when i was in highschool it seemed most girls wore alot of makeup (cover up/foundation) because they didnt actually know how to apply it right, i had a friend who literally caked it on... also eye liner.. same thing, wore it too thick because we didnt know any better.

i have confidence n self esteem issues and i ALWAYS find myself comparing myself to the girls in the magazines, trying to get 'that look' when inside i know its close to impossible for me to acheive as they've all had hours of professional makeup/hair artists working on them, special cameras/lighting and LOTS of airbrushing.

Have you looked at the regular models lately (or even from years ago)? Models (and porn stars) have to wear more make up than normal in order to show up for the camera better. There are many reasons for them to do it in order to increase the visual effect.
I was a regular model for over 10 years, including doing runway and doing magazine covers. I had a artistic nude shoot last year and decided that taking off my clothes was more fun that being in my clothes. I have seen both sides of the industry and at the level where porn stars and models who are doing magazines and runway are at, make up is done heavy.
There are good porn movies and photo sets, and then there are bad ones. But most importantly there are lots of bad make up artists and very few GREAT ones. That is who is doing them up most of the time, although you can usually tell when there is not one. Every shoot that I have ever done for either industry I have been fortunate enough to have a great make up artist, but even when I am doing other things like personal appearances or live in person promotions (for regular modeling), I have learned enough over the years to know how to do my make up right.
Many of the women in the porn industry do not come from the modeling world, some do and they are evident in the way that they carry themselves and how they create themselves into looking if they have to do it on their own.
Men are not primarily looking at their faces in the movies, they are watching them for other things of course. But if the porn actress does not show up and is bleached out (where she does not have enough make up on to show up with flashes and lighting) then it does the men no good at all as they cannot see the woman when they do look at her face.
Most of us go about our normal lives living without make up when we do not have shoots. Many of us are considered naturally beautiful to not ever need to wear make up. But, it is a different story when you are on a photo or video set and need to show up with the strong lights. Talk about getting hot, the lights at either make you super hot. It is amazing that the lash glue does not melt and that the make up does not run as the sweat pours off of us.
Guys do not care about us looking this way or not. When I do have a regular guy in my life (relationship), they do not care which I am- all made up in my alter ego or all natural and down to earth me. They are with me for who I am and not what I look like. They have told me time and time again that I get them worked up the same regardless of which one I look like.
I hope that sheds some light on it for you. It all comes down to lighting. As a suggestion, if you are going to do any pictures for weddings, proms, events, etc. and be using a professional photographer, they actually like for you to have on heavier make up than normal.
Just as there are people in real life that do the things that you are asking about, some of the people in porn choose to do so as well such as the painted on brows and such. It is what they think that they need in order to look better sometimes and not a necessity for the shoot.
Porn actresses are doing nothing different than many regular models, just look at the magazines and compare sometime (if you really want too... lol).

You need to be more specific, as each star has their own trademark look. But I would say the two main things are:
a white eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eyes. This also works with a white eyeliner and can be blended around. See link below and the pic on the right has the white shadow in the eye corner like I am talking about.
A high shine lipgloss, like Lipglass by MAC.
I get the look of a ';supper star'; by first using spaghetti sauce as war paint. When sufficiently camouflaged, I POUNCE! on my supper, attacking it, tackling it to the kitchen floor. I beat it into submission. Then I cook it. Then I eat it.
Then I, alone, am THE supper star!!!

You need to be more specific, as each star has their own trademark look. But I would say the two main things are:
a white eyeshadow on the inner corner of your eyes. This also works with a white eyeliner and can be blended around. See link below and the pic on the right has the white shadow in the eye corner like I am talking about.
A high shine lipgloss, like Lipglass by MAC.
I get the look of a ';supper star'; by first using spaghetti sauce as war paint. When sufficiently camouflaged, I POUNCE! on my supper, attacking it, tackling it to the kitchen floor. I beat it into submission. Then I cook it. Then I eat it.
Then I, alone, am THE supper star!!!

How would I do makeup like Data from Star Trek?
I thought it would be fun to be Data from Star Trek for Halloween. I found some yellow Star Trek shirts on Amazon easily, and also found some yellow contact lenses (though I haven't been able to find gold), but am unsure how to proceed with the makeup. He's gold, but he also looks really pale.
The best thought I've had so far is to maybe mix gold and white grease paint and try that. Does anyone have any other suggestions or personal experience?
Also, would gold lipstick or eyeshadow be out of the question? I'm not going to bind my chest or cut my hair or anything, so I guess I'll be a female version of Data.

look into grease paint or creme bases. Id prefer creme its waterbased and not oil like grease. I'd say go with white creme and then blend in a little green but only a little for a bit of a pale sage effect. You will have to search high and low for a gold powder but it is made, look for a make-up supply company that deals with Ben-Nye products. Use the Gold poweder in excess until the gold effect is seen over the light palid creme and then brush off the excess. But the BIGGEST ';feature'; of Data is that he has no features -- no warts, no pores, nio wrinkles. So you need a HEAVY base coat to smooth out your natural flaws, to make the skin appear MUCH smoother than a normal hunman.
I'm not sure if Data had any ';blood'; or not, so his lips and fingernaisl are ALSO very pale. There is nothing more fake appeearing than to see a ';zombie'; like makeup with bright red lips!!!

Do not buy them, they have lead in them.. I highly believe this because I had a headache after using the 88 palette, and everyone knows lead causes neurological damage. I also took them to a lab and it was tested lead-positive and slightly severe... but that's severe ENOUGH because the skin on your eyes is so delicate. CS and SMH get them for 2-5 bucks a piece.. go on the Chinese trade websites and see for yourself.

I think you guys should do a smokey eye along with the star next to your right eye. But no red lip, to old, plus you don't want to look like a slut. Maybe pinkish lips instead? also glitter on the eyes high up, almost touching the eyebrow. Sound good? I hope this helped
