Why do porn stars wear so much makeup?

Everything about it is so fake looking--fake eyelashes, drawn on eyebrows, tarted up lips, and there is simply so much eye shadow caked on...guys, do you find that appealing?





(I know this isn't exactly men's health related but I figured I wouldn't get a lot of men answering if I posted it in the cosmetics category)Why do porn stars wear so much makeup?
Have you looked at the regular models lately (or even from years ago)? Models (and porn stars) have to wear more make up than normal in order to show up for the camera better. There are many reasons for them to do it in order to increase the visual effect.





I was a regular model for over 10 years, including doing runway and doing magazine covers. I had a artistic nude shoot last year and decided that taking off my clothes was more fun that being in my clothes. I have seen both sides of the industry and at the level where porn stars and models who are doing magazines and runway are at, make up is done heavy.





There are good porn movies and photo sets, and then there are bad ones. But most importantly there are lots of bad make up artists and very few GREAT ones. That is who is doing them up most of the time, although you can usually tell when there is not one. Every shoot that I have ever done for either industry I have been fortunate enough to have a great make up artist, but even when I am doing other things like personal appearances or live in person promotions (for regular modeling), I have learned enough over the years to know how to do my make up right.





Many of the women in the porn industry do not come from the modeling world, some do and they are evident in the way that they carry themselves and how they create themselves into looking if they have to do it on their own.





Men are not primarily looking at their faces in the movies, they are watching them for other things of course. But if the porn actress does not show up and is bleached out (where she does not have enough make up on to show up with flashes and lighting) then it does the men no good at all as they cannot see the woman when they do look at her face.





Most of us go about our normal lives living without make up when we do not have shoots. Many of us are considered naturally beautiful to not ever need to wear make up. But, it is a different story when you are on a photo or video set and need to show up with the strong lights. Talk about getting hot, the lights at either make you super hot. It is amazing that the lash glue does not melt and that the make up does not run as the sweat pours off of us.





Guys do not care about us looking this way or not. When I do have a regular guy in my life (relationship), they do not care which I am- all made up in my alter ego or all natural and down to earth me. They are with me for who I am and not what I look like. They have told me time and time again that I get them worked up the same regardless of which one I look like.





I hope that sheds some light on it for you. It all comes down to lighting. As a suggestion, if you are going to do any pictures for weddings, proms, events, etc. and be using a professional photographer, they actually like for you to have on heavier make up than normal.





Just as there are people in real life that do the things that you are asking about, some of the people in porn choose to do so as well such as the painted on brows and such. It is what they think that they need in order to look better sometimes and not a necessity for the shoot.





Porn actresses are doing nothing different than many regular models, just look at the magazines and compare sometime (if you really want too... lol).

Everything is for a visual effect. Those girls are to look like the girls in Playboy mags,the ones where young boys first explore the nudy mags. All visual effect...Look at pam Anderson, Could you get anymore fake, or porn looking, and she got $$$$$ for that...I know SICK

their trying to cover up all their body flaws %26amp; their age . . . most of them r no spring chicks or d***s
